Component Cleaning
We provide a full-service wind turbine cleaning programme. The components inevitably gather dust and debris, just like any outdoor surface does. Cleaning the components not only improves the appearance visually but provides performance benefits and increased efficiency.
We use environmentally friendly and biodegradable cleaning solutions, this is due to a lot of wind farms being in remote areas with farm land and animals. Our technicians use specialist rope access techniques to negotiate around the different parts of the turbine.

Installation and Pre-Assembly

Preservation
Before turbines are installed on a wind farm, they have to pass several tests and inspections to verify that they are completely functional.
We have a committed team of professionals who have undergone thorough training to visit ports around the UK and Europe. This is to guarantee that the turbines receive the full preservation works.
We have a dedicated procedure with a component-specific checklist that includes:
- Tower preservation
- Blades preservation
- Drive-train preservation
- Nacelle preservation
- Hub preservation
In accordance with protocol, dry bags must be placed, internal and exterior damage must be recorded and the components must be placed on the appropriate storage device both at ports and at the job site.

Blade Inspection & Repairs

Servicing & Maintenance
To extend the lifecycle of assets, preventative maintenance is required. Every technical system requires regular maintenance. This is usually performed at set intervals, typically a few times per year.
As turbine components are exposed, extreme weather conditions pose a risk of damage, this is why turbines need routine checks.
If wind turbine components fail, the turbine may have to stop. This means unscheduled service at higher rates, costly repairs, loss of revenue and they will fail to meet government electricity demands.

Site Management
At Coast, we provide a range of site management services through-out entire durations of projects across the UK and Europe.
Site managers are on site from the initial set up and manage the full installation of all wind turbines. The turbines then produce power and provide clean energy to thousands of homes across the UK.
